i'm really disappointed with the quality of this unit. it has the following problems:


1) grainy blacks
2) a lot of mpeg compression artifacts (i have a sharp and it has a mpeg compression supress option which seems to really take care of them)
3) White blotches on the corner on dark scenes.
4) In HD when the pictures pans you can see "dirt" elements stay in the same place. very annoying.


So my question is:

Which LCD has the best Upscaler, mpeg compression suppression and all around great HD picture ?

And i think this time i'll go with a 46''

well the sony V5100 is based on the older BE2 which has a medicore upscaler,on the other hand the BE3 found in W5100 has greatly improved image processing,its upscaler according to HDTVTEST is better then the samsung and sharp models.
