Been eyeing the logitech 890 on amazon for a while, as I'm about to need a remote with RF and IR extender capabilityes. Bestbuy just dropped their price on it to match amazon's. Salespeople said it was going to be replaced soon, but how soon or were they just misinformed? The 1100 is a bit out of my price range, and the harmony one lacks the RF. Should I wait or just get the 890?

There is a rumor that Logitech will release a new RF remote next month. See this thread ..

The good thing about a new one coming out is that the 890 should drop in price. Tiger Direct had refurbs on cheap, I got one recently and I really like it. It controls everything in my theater, and even the digital set top box in the next room without any missed or repeated signals. I have become a big fan of the 890 in the last couple months.
