Hi

I have this samsung slimfit TX-S3065WR CRT TV.
just switching on one morning the picture has gone blurry.

here are the symptoms.

1. When Powered:
1a. on a thick green horizontal line appears in the middle of the screen for two seconds.
1b. for few seconds green screen appears with horrizontal lines on it, which are shorter in the middle.

1c. the picture comes and is blurry.


2. When I change the channels the green screen with the lines appear.

3. When I power off, a green screen appears with lines and than a bright small deformed spot appears which fades away slowly.


I am not a TV expert, but I can solder and change components based on my handy mans experience.

Any help in diagnosing the problem is appreciated.

It looks like failed video output circuitry to me. But it could as well be the tube itself (let's hope not). Could you also take a photo of how the actual picture looks like?
