I have looked at MANY threads on the green blobs but no one seems to have this centered lower yellow lemon shaped thing on their TV.
It also had ghosting but the service menu trick fixed that.

I got this from a buddy who said his son left the TV on all night and when they woke up the yellow shape was on the screen. Its large, I'd say 14" wide by 10" high. Its yellow and centered in the middle of the screen but on the bottom half.
Any one seen this?

Replace the optical block. Check with Sony if it falls under extended service bulletin for coverage. If no coverage then the part is $1350

Is there no way to repair this optical block?

I also forgot to add that when you shut down the TV it goes black with a glowing blue surround.

OK after further reading on the subject.....
Looks like one of the small LCD screens has been damaged. I will take out the optical block and hopefully see one of them damaged. I guess the blue one is closest to the light.
