Hi all, I was wondering if anyone out there can help a friend of mine out. He has the Mitsubishi WS-48513 and when he turns it on the picture becomes distorted. The picture can still be seen but it looks like it is underwater. The picture looks like waves. It lasts about 2 to 5 min. then goes away. He will also be watching the tv and it will do it randomly not always at the same time but lasts only a few minutes. Does anyone know what could be causing this? What part it may be and how to fix it? I really appreciate any input you can give. Thanks in adavance.:)

Could be convergence IC's or 9v Regulator IC. To replace them you need to have decent soldering skills. Post pictures of the Tv screen with various content and Tv menus.
