I bought a KDFE50A10 based on the advice on this forum back in 2006 and I must say I have been extremly happy with it.

However, the screen has started to get markedly "dim" over the last month.

I am assuming this is due to the Bulb getting old?
(It has 9670 hours on it :) )




Is it ok for me to purchase a 2400XL lamp off of EBay or should I go to the Sony Store or some other store? I have no clue if there is any "quality" issues surrounding these things and due to the cost, I only want to buy it once.
