Are there any standard-def (480i) dvd players that offer direct path signal? I will be feeding as raw as possible signal to my separate up-converting processor.
Thanks much

I know the Oppo 980 still is. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=6678737#post6678737 rlubocki 08-26-09, 11:28 AM Thank you!! Thanks much Seconding the 980H. It's still in production and being actively supported. You might be able to order a refurb from Oppo or pick one off ebay cheap. rlubocki 09-02-09, 07:50 AM The above link to the list of 480i hdmi dvd players is outdated. And are these really unprocessed streams in these dvd players? Maybe OPPO would be the best in this case, but I know some denon dvd players are cheap these days, Blu ray forced them to lower the price, why should anyone pay over $1000 for a dvd player, if you can get top of the line Blu rey for half of that!! I think the technology flattened with Blu rey, they all produce superb image, not like dvds. |
