I have a few questions I was wondering if someone can answer.

I'm going to upgrade my 60GB HDD with a Western Digital 500GB and I'm looking to pick up an 1TB External Hard Drive.

Ok I'm not too knowledgable about partitioning hard drives so what is the best way to format the external? I know you have to do a Fat32 for the PS3 but what about for a PC and Mac. Can I just do everything Fat32 or would I have to partition 500GB Fat32 and 500GB NTFS?

If you run a search, you'll find that there are threads that are already discussing how to do this.

Just a little help, the PS3/PC and Mac can all read FAT32. So just format your harddrive to FAT32 if it isn't like that right out of the box.

The only problem you'll have with FAT32 is the file size limit, depends on if you need to move huge files with your external HDD.
