Been searching around for an answer to this.

I just ordered this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136155)drive from Newegg to put in my PC. Has anyone had any experience or knows if there is a way to play HD disks direct to a PS3. I'm looking to pick up some cheap HD movies and am trying to avoid all the ripping/encoding to get these to play on the PS3. So basically I'd like to put the HD disk in the drive and be able to watch it streamed to the PS3 and from there to my TV.

no, you'd have to rip it to a MKV or something.
