So I recently bought a slim PS3 to replace my original 60 gig. I took some pics of the old PS3 so I could sell it online, and I noticed something odd. Check out this photo:

There is no "PLAYSTATION 3" text on the top of the console! I bought it new from Gamestop back in 2007 when they were phasing these units out in favor of the 80 gig with the software BC.

Any idea what could be going on here? Do I just happen to have a rare unit?

Its a refurb with the generic case. No biggie.

He says he bought it new though. Is that "Gamestop New" or "New New"?

It was new in the box when I bought it.
