View Full Version : BH100 stuttering on BD region B playback. taken 08-29-09, 01:53 PM I have changed my region to B by using 02 in the fourth spot. Now my region B BD plays, but the video stutters. Audio is unaffected. Is there a fix for this? taken 08-31-09, 09:51 AM No one else has this. Ok. Interesting is this. Changing to 02 allows both A and B disks to be played. And, for some reason it even changes the screensaver. Can someone please tell me the number they use to play B region disks so that I can try that. I can't use any number that enables pal as my tv doesn't support it. Also, I've tried all the other numbers listed in other threads and not only do they enable pal, but they lock at 05 seconds after playback starts which means that the wrong region message is being played. I just can't see it because my screen has shut down because the tv has detected an unsupported signal. If someone could give me a working number for region B I would really really appreciate it... bradavon 08-31-09, 01:55 PM Which Region B? Some aren't 25p or whatever it's called. Have you tried the BH200 codes that make it Region B but don't enable PAL? taken 08-31-09, 02:05 PM I don't know which codes are region B but no PAL. If you could pass them along, it would be a big help. I am trying to play a region B copy of The Crow from the UK. taken 09-02-09, 08:29 PM Wow really? Really? Not one answer after 111 views. Thanks SO much for all your thoughts and ideas AVS members. I only hope I can help you all the same way some day... van der graaf 09-02-09, 09:28 PM Wow really? Really? I do not have a BH100, but I was interested in seeing if there was an answer for curiosities sake. Why did I not type anything??? Because anything I typed, for example, would have been completely useless and pointless. But, if THIS makes you feel better, I have done my deed for the millennium...and the multiverse is a better place. Thank the gods. van der graaf 09-02-09, 09:29 PM I don't know which codes are region B but no PAL. If you could pass them along, it would be a big help. Look the the BH200 FAQ thread...pretty simple. taken 09-02-09, 09:50 PM This one is on you, buddy...he gave you the answer. Look the the BH200 FAQ thread...pretty simple. Wow, ignorance is bliss. If you are one of the people who actually couldn't help then keeping your mouth shut would have been a great help. I was addressing this to the one or two of the 100 plus who read this that might actually have a clue as to how to make my problem work. I've read every post that search has found and then some and the closest I could get was I should use a code that worked. I kind of knew that to start with. I remember years ago where forums actually helped people. Now the best you can hope for is a ever original, "search is your friend." I've tried all the codes listed in the BH200 FAQ thread. They don't work for me genius or I wouldn't be asking for help. And on the off chance I may have missed the answer, maybe pointing me directly to it instead of wasting my time with two wise ass posts just might be a bit more helpful. van der graaf 09-02-09, 10:08 PM Wow, ignorance is bliss. You ever think...maybe...just possibly, that no one who viewed your thread responded with an answer because they don't have one. You think people are keeping you in the dark on purpose, reading your thread and laughing because they have some esoteric answer to the BH100's region free and stuttering mysteries? I responded because you were acting like a two-year old in need of attention...I gave you some, and now you are whining about that. Good luck with life, and your BH100 issues. And,uh, ignorance is bliss apparently, because I did point you to the BH200 FAQ thread, did I not....and it was response to this "I don't know which codes are region B but no PAL. If you could pass them along, it would be a big help. I am trying to play a region B copy of The Crow from the UK."...your words in response to someone saying try this p[articular BH200 hack....wow. WOW. W.O.W. Um, no one said anything about a specific region two hack so wow wow indeed. In fact there is no region two BD hack. Only a multi region DVD hack. And again, you have been so helpful with pointing me to the answer. You are truly a real value to the AVS world. I have no issues with the 100 or life. Just one BD I would like to play. I in no way think anyone is trying to keep me in the dark. I do however think that there are some very lazy people in forums these days who would rather not bother typing an answer to a problem they have already solved. (Ironically with help from the same forum.) But, that's clearly not you. Your worse than that. You have no help or knowledge to share. Just too much time on your hands and the need to give someone asking for help a pile of BS to give yourself a good stroke. I hope it didn't stain the couch... van der graaf 09-02-09, 10:25 PM Um, no one said anything about a specific region two hack so wow wow indeed. In fact there is no region two BD hack. And, just to be clear...where did I say anything about a region two hack? You said "no one said anything about a specific region two hack so wow wow indeed", yeah, right, I didn't, you are saying you didn't, so why bring it up? Bizarre, indeed. And, yeah. I was not much help here, I have been to other people, but then, they weren't whining like two-year olds. Anyway, this will likely all be deleted by the mods, as it should. I was really trying to chill you out inthe beginning, now I see you are pretty much insane. Laterz. taken 09-02-09, 10:34 PM HAHA! Your funny. And yes, you pointed me to where you said someone said something about a region 2 hack just a couple of posts up. They didn't and it doesn't exist, but don't let that bother ya. And really, thanks so much for "trying to chill me out" by being a complete wise ass and offering no assistance. Excellent try there! Well, your lack of wit has tired me enough that I think I will go grab some shut eye. For that, I do thank you. van der graaf 09-02-09, 10:50 PM "Laterz"? And I'm a two year old? Hope your cup of coco with soft little marshmallows and my little pony blanket bring you some peace of mind.... vinnie97 09-03-09, 03:17 AM Taken, you're asking for information and pouting when you don't get it. Anyone who has their wits about them dropped this problematic player and never looked back. taken 09-03-09, 08:39 AM Taken, you're asking for information and pouting when you don't get it. Had a whole warm and fuzzy feeling after such an intense conversation with a true verbal ninja. Keep your eyes on the mirror and keep telling yourself how special you are. I know you made my night and I can't be alone. van der graaf 09-03-09, 09:31 AM Didn't need any of that. Just a revelation as to the lack of support I was getting. If you think that's fired up you may very well be in a coma spending far too much time in front of your tv. Again with the coma type reply. bradavon 09-03-09, 01:08 PM Here's the link I was talking to you about over PM: http://www.bulletsnbabesdvd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=4411&hilit=crow It actually points back to this forum. Basically the UK BD Death Sentence by EIV is 1080i50. The Crow is also 1080i and I heavily suspect 50p too, which is PAL speed and hence the reason for your problems. I suspect a properly encoded Region B disc at 1080p24 will be fine. I gather their Crow BD isn't too bad but certainly not as good as it should be. Thankfully EIV no longer do this nonsense and most other UK studios are decent (especially Eurka and BFI). taken 09-03-09, 01:16 PM Good info. Thanks much. I really appreciate it. |
