Hi guys, I asked this in the giant "*New* Western Digital - WD TV HD Media Player" thread but it got swamped, so please forgive me for posting it here too.

Which version of the WD TV firmware is the best one for basic functionality? I can live without thumbnails and foreign subs, etc, if need be. I've heard that later versions broke some things, so where is the sweet spot?

They say 1.02.03. I believe you will not have thumbnails, and the subs if you need them might still look a little ugly.. but dont quote me. If I were you I would start with the newest one, and use it until you find that it doesnt work for you.

Is there a compiled list of firmware versions with features present/missing?

WDTV_FW_1_02_07 for me. Since its the last FW that still works with hubs.

(Incoming hubs were never supported comment)
