View Full Version : Earthworm Jim on PS3
Was checking out release dates and upcoming games this afternoon and stumbled upon a game I didn't realize was coming out. Apparently the original team behind Earthworm Jim on the Sega Genesis is making a new Earthworm Jim that will be out on PS3! Not sure if it's multi-platform or not.
I apologize if this is old news, but I wasn't aware of it. I loved the original one back in the day and hopefully this one will do it justice!

I hope it's an HD remake of the original. Otherwise, not really interested.

The Genesis classic is also quite possibly going to make it out on XBLA and PSN in its original form as the next release by Sega.

It was. It had a jungle, right?

Big Brad 09-30-09, 04:16 AM Glad to see that they did the "remaster" right instead of taking the cheap route (involved essentially smudging everything together to rid the screen of pixels). On a side note, I tried this the other day on the Wii and forgot how difficult it was. Either that or it was the Wii control. I'm betting it was the Wii control. :D

It looks good but it looks very soft. Hopefully it's just the jpeg compression.

Aladdin was pretty sweet...at least it was when I was 10 years old. I liked the Lion King game too, though it wasn't nearly as good as Aladdin.
They should just give every good Sega Genesis game an HD makeover and put it on the PSN for $10. They'll make a killing!

Wow, Lion King game was nice. Roaring when a little kitty lion would make the scarab fall on their back... memories :p
Aladdin was so fun! Jumping from the roof of the little market thing (don't know the word in english :D) but the best were the carpet scene with the rocks flying around :) (Or was that in the SNES version?? I remember the sword fights in the Sega Genesis game tho...)

The Genesis version was may more difficult, and a better game overall. SNES one wasn't bad at all though.

Yes. Remastered HD versions of Vectorman and Ecco the Dolphin would be amazing.

A remake of the sega version of Aladdin would be great. Too bad they made a less violent version for the SNES. Instead of using a sword you jumped on top of enemies like Mario.
