I'm wondering if someone can tell me if what I want to do is possible, and if so, how. I have a 5.1 surround sound setup. What I found out is that for NFL games, the center channel carries mainly the play-by-play and color commentator voices. What I did last season was disconnect the center channel feed from the speaker and route one of my rear channels to the center speaker instead. What I got was barely audible announcers and higher volume for general stadium sounds, like PA announcers and crowd noise. I'm wondering if there is a simple A/B type switch I could use to accomplish this rather having to mess with rerouting speaker wire. I can turn off the center feed via my receiver, but with the rear levels cranked up, I still don't get audio level I do by running the rear channel to the center speaker. Anyone have an idea or suggestion? Thanks.

Exactly what is it you are trying to accomplish?

Thanks for the reply!

Doing this manually by wire swapping, I eliminate the game commentators. I end up with pretty much what it sounds like if I were at the game. If I hear Joe Buck say that the first down "depends on where they spot the ball" one more time, I'll put a fist through my plasma. I could just hit the mute button, but the game sounds are actually pretty cool.
