I have been the original owner of this work of art for the past four years and I have been very happy until now. It seems that here lately the whole screen turns pink! (Overbearing Pink Hue ) It goes away if I turn the set off and I turn it back on or if I change the video input selection.

I have had tubes go bad on me over the years but they usually turn green. I fear this is what may happen to mine if it continues. It does not do it everyday but every once and a while. Does anyone have a clue to what may be causing the problem??

Does it have diagonal lines over the pink? If so could be the output IC for the Red video has shorted, or the CRT has a short in the red gun. Someone on this forum had the ICs from all 3 colors short all at once, so maybe it's not the tube.

No, no diagonal lines are seen. When it happens I notice a barely audible click when it turns pink. I am at odds at what to do.
