I've had this DLP for about 3-4 years. Recently I've noticed particularly on whites or bright colors that instead of say a pure white image the white will be speckled with various other colors mixed in, mostly pinks. Also, I had the great fortune of seeing a couple of spiders on the screen, which ended up living inside of the TV itself. I've managed to catch and remove one of them, but the other remains. My best guess from looking inside is that there appears to be a light haze on both the projector lens and the rear mirror, and possibly some on the back of the display screen, although it's gray-ish in color so it's not as obvious.

Is it possible the haze could be causing this? There were also a couple of strands of spider web inside, although that has already been removed. My bulb is likely due for replacement soon as well, although I couldn't seem to find anything pointing to a fading bulb causing the discoloration on on whites/light bright colors. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

Lamps do get dim and some color shift toward the very end of life. You should replace the lamp and pull the screen assembly to clean the optics, especially if in a smoking home or country road.

Yeah the TV did spend about 3 years in a smoky environment. I've made calls to most local TV service places, but none of them offer a cleaning service. I'm assuming a camera lens type cleaning and microfiber would probably work well for the lens itself. Any ideas for the mirror and the rear of the display screen?

Lenses and mirror- SprayWay & paper towels
Screen assembly- no liquids at all, can't recommend touching it at all
