It worked fine this morning, and now it cays no attached storage, even i connected usb flash drive and my passport. They work fine on PC... Any help? Thanks.

Did you reboot it.... disconnect and re-connect the power? OFF on the remote control isn't really off.

I tried that first. I unplugged it for several seconds, and then for several minutes... This morning, at work, I scanned my passport for error, and it apperars that there were some problems with master file table. I will inform you when I get home.

In meantime, more suggestions are needed.

mount the hard drive on your computer, enable the viewing of hidden files, go into the directory of your hard drive, find the .wdtv folder, delete it, unmount the drive, plug it back into the WDTV, let it rescan your drive. that will usually solve the issue, unless it is a physical error on the part of the drive, in which case it will get incrementally worse until it fully fails.

Same thing happened to me last weekend, I even plugged the drive into my computer and it wasn't coming up! I was ready to go out and get a new drive but figured I'd check it with a new cable I had in a drawer.

The new cable worked. I didn't really think that a cable would go bad but after so many plugs/unplugs I guess the connections are the worse for wear.

I solved the problem the same day I posted.

There were some error on my wd passport. I scanned it for errors and they were corrected. After that wd tv recognized it without any problems.
