Hello everyone,
I'm curious whether anyone knows the difference between the Mitsubishi WD-XX737 and WD-XX837 lines?
I'm considering buying the 73 or 82" RPTV for my living room. With main seating ~16' away, would 73" be sufficient or should I go with 82"? I took a tape measure to my wall and measured out the size of the 82-incher and that sucker is HUGE. It's 73" wide! I don't mind it taking up the space, but I'm just concerned I may be buying something a lot larger (and 2x more expensive) than I need.
Initially I was going to put a ~110-120" FP in that area, but have since reconsidered it due to lighting issues.
Thanks!

I'm more than happy with my 73737, and that's a monster. There's no way I would pay double the price for another 9 inches of TV. I think the 73 inchers are at the best price points.

damsker,
How far away do you sit from your TV? What's your main use for it? When looking at 737's did you also look at the 837's? I haven't found what the differences are that cost so much money.
Thanks :)

We have two couches, one to the side, and one in the middle. The one to the side is about 10 feet, and the one in the middle is about 12 feet. I definitely couldn't go bigger, and to be honest, we could have gone down to 60 inches, and I probably would've been happy. Even if I could've gone bigger, there's no way it's worth the extra bucks for the 82. We use it for TV and Blu-Ray (by the way, the LG BD390 is way cool, with wireless streaming netflix and Youtube). No games.
Yeah, at Best Buy I saw the 837s, and I couldn't tell any difference. Of course, I'm not an expert, so take it with a grain of salt.

There's already a thread about this year's Mitsubishi DLPs:
