A few weeks ago I rented Star Trek II TWoK from NetFlix. Now, I'm certain it was the Blu-Ray edition.

I was looking on Blu-Ray tonight at upcoming releases and it says this will be released in 2 weeks.

Could someone please tell me what the difference is on that release? I'm confused. I don't think there's any multiple versions of the movie (Directors/Theatrical/Extended/...)

They're releasing the individual movies from the collection. Nothing is different.

But I was under the impression they were all out already. People have had ST TOS in hand for months now. That was quite a while ago that released, and that's on their list to release in 2 weeks also.

Places like Netflix were allowing you to rent one movie at a time... but the only way to buy them was the 1-6 "complete" set or the 2-4 trilogy set. No way to buy the movies individually until now (or rather until soon).

Got it. Thanks guys. Seemed strange cause I'd already had that second film on BR. I wouldn't have figured NF would have gotten Box Sets, and maybe they don't since they buy zillions of copies.
