Please help me configure WDTV.

My wish is to copy/paste/edit files on USB HDD connected to WDTV from PC via LAN connection. No need for streaming from PC.

Available hardware is: WDTV, WD My Book Essential 1T USB HDD, LevelOne USB-0201 Gbit ethernet adapter, Logitech 4-Port USB Hub, several USB keys from 128 MB to 4 GB.

Is there any tutorial to fully cover or step by step explains such a configuration?

If not, please advise which custom firmware is better and how to connect the hardware listed.

I tried with both, ext3-boot and WDTVLX, but results were poor - very slow transfers.
