Hey everyone,

This is my first post, but I was wondering if anyone has suggestion for me before I go any further.

I'm about to begin painting my HT, and wanted to see what everyone thinks. BTW, I'm a Georgia grad, and I'm going for a red & black(and gray) theme.

I'm planning to go with a charcoal gray on the walls and a lighter gray/silver for the trim and columns with a faux metal antique finish added on. My furniture will be black leather sofas, 2 red leather chairs, and red end tables. I plan to use sconces that will have red glass shades to soften the room a little.

My top choices are:
Sherwin Williams
Walls - Grizzle Gray SW7068
Trim - Gray Matters SW7066

I was also considering using a sand textured paint because it claims to hide imperfections. What does everyone think?

I also would love suggestions for my ceiling trey. I have wired for rope lighting, but I want to maybe use a red light. Would this look okay?? Also, my carpenter put an additional 2 piece trim in the top tray. Would it look okay if I still painted the trim silver, and painted below it and the ceiling charcoal?

Also, I haven't done the risers yet, but I was thinking of doing 2 6-foot long risers. Any ideas?

Overall, I'm just feeling out any comments and suggestions. I've read countless threads, but I would love hear feedback.

The room is about 21' wide and 23' long and is a dedicated HT.
