I have a 360, 120GB HDD, tons of DLC (mostly RB songs). I am thinking of getting a second 360 for use in another room. They would most likely not be used at the same time...for now.

Can someone point me to some resources or give some hints on how this would work?

Transport the original HDD to the 2nd 360?

Log in to my XBL on the 2nd 360? Would the DLC be available?

I have no Memory Unit, but I read about using it somehow to transfer the account? I only want to move my XBL account temporarily, but want the DLC available wherever I'm logged in.

Thanks.

As long as you log into your account on any 360 you will have your content will available to download onto that unit. This includes DLC, tv shows, and games on demand. Using a memory card for your gamertag makes the process very easy to do.

Save your gamertag onto a memory card OR take the HDD to whichever xbox you're playing (which is what I do)

My Gamertags and saves live on two 512MB memory cards. One for me, on for my girl. We just take the cards to whichever 360 we want to play on. All content we make sure to buy on the main 360, so that anybody can use it on that box. The box you buy it on is dual licensed, so the specific console gets an open license, and then there is a license for your Gamertag. We then redownload whatever we want on the secondary box. At that point, only the purchasing Gamertag gets to use the item. It works out quite well.

The only thing that we ever had to buy twice using this setup is the expansion for Saints Row 2. It was my turn to play in the living room while we co-op'd, so she didn't have license to use it in the bedroom.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a memory unit, though extremely overpriced, is what I need.

Q: So when I log into to another xbox using my Gold gamertag, will I have to re-download all my purchased DLC on that xbox?

Thanks again!

Yes, thus moving the harddrive around with you might be easier they redownloading all the content.
