Got Child's Play yesterday. I was very happy with the transfer. Same framing as the HD Broadcast version. This is far better than my HD PPV copy. Better detail and superior color. Lots of grain. Didn't see any color timing changes.
Big thumbs up.

The "Feed Your Fear" sticker was on the plastic over the disc, it's not on the cover artwork. But I though it was interesting enough to show.

Is that second disc a digital copy or a DVD version of the movie?

So the extras are not on the Blu-ray disc itself? Only the DVD?

I echo that - are the extras ONLY on the DVD?

No it looks like the extras are all on the Blu-Ray also. So I'm not sure why it came with the DVD. I'll have to double check to see if there is something I missed.

I'll see if I can post some screen shots of the menus. Its from Chucky's POV running through the house. The different selections are his pockets with knifes coming out.

My only questions is, how does this fare when compared to last years DVD release? Is it a minimal step up or? I mean, last years DVD wasn't bad at all.

Yup, but Misery is region free even though there is a Region A symbol on the back of the cover. So hoping for the same here :)

Yeah, apparently they are afraid of BDRips of these titles popping up all over the internet. Of course, they still do thanks to Blockbuster stores getting titles 2-4 weeks early for employees to watch. Wolverines been online for a month and half now (Spanish BD release).

I watched this last night and I thought it was very well done.

But I have one minor beef that kinda' grates on my nerves.

There's the point in the movie where Catherine Hicks comes home from the police station with Chucky. She sits the doll down and says, "Well, say something you..."

The first part of the statement is so low as to be inaudible to my ears. I saw her lips moving but no sound. It's that way on both the DTS-HD MA track and the Dolby Digital. I had to play the included DVD to see if it was the same...it isn't. On the DVD, the statement is audible from start to finish.

It's only about one second long. But it's such a critical point in the film and I found it quite distracting to see lips move...even for a moment...without hearing anything. You do understand the basic statement because the volume comes up sufficiently to hear the critical element. It just annoys me.
