I just watched all the youtube videos showing the updates, they look awesome. I did some googling and I cant find any news on a release date for the 360. Anyone in the loop?

TF2 on 360 was great back at launch, as I spent about 140 hours in there. It is the wrong platform to consider for the game at this point though. PC is where it's at with TF2.

As for when the update will come out? They've been saying "In a couple months" for a year and a half now. Of course, Valve time works at about the rate of 1 Valve month = 8 real months. So, 2011?

Valve doesn't intend to do it.

And I've heard no plans of EA doing it for the PS3 version. If Valve won't even do it for their in-house 360 build, I'm sure EA won't do it for the PS3 (Just in case someone reads this and has the PS3 version).

fair call, im typing this on a mac and any joking aside, i dont have the cash to get a pc to play this. but that is the plan later on.

I still play TF2 on/off all the time. A really fun game, and still a very actve community. The latest word (which is probably 8 months old) is that they are still working on the 'massive' update the PC got for the Xbox. Apparently the biggest issue is the 512M ram that the Xbox has is somewhat deficient and making it work is the problem. I still have hope, but who knows.....
