In preparation of the NFL season I have added a few 19 inch monitors to my setup.
Problem.........
They are the same comcast cable box and the remote changes all the boxes at the same time.
Is there anyway around this??????

There's no real good way of controlling multiple identical boxes with a single remote. I just aim at the box i want to change REALLY closely. :)

Look up the cable box model number and search for a user manual. There may have a way of assigning a code to each box/remote to keep them separate. Or call the tech support line at comcast.

You also could take this question to a comcast dedicated forum:

If each box allows for IR input using a plug in the back, you could use an RF remote like the Logitech 890. Just set up each box as a unique devise and assign each cable box to a separate port of the wireless extender. You could control 4 boxes via RF and 1 via IR.
