Hi all,

Sorry for the newb ?, but I purchased a 2nd 360 for my kids and would like to know if it's possible to install all my DLC from my Elite to the new 360 or do I have have to purchase them over again on the new console? Example, we have 2 copies of COD WaW and I have all 3 map packs on my elite, can I transfer them to the new console or have to re purchase the map packs?

Thanks in advance

I have never done it myself, but evidently you can copy a lot of things to a thumb drive and transfer them to another machine. I guess there are some games though that just won't let you.

A) Your advice is wrong in every possible fashion.

B) Reading comprehension is a skill that you should practice a bit more.

The way you would have to do it would be to purchase it on their console and re-download it on yours. The way I suggest you do it is this. First get yourself a memory card. Put your profile on it so you can move it back and forth between consoles. Next give them the old console since that is the one you originally purchased the map packs on. Now assuming the hard drive sizes are the same you will keep yours and download the maps on their theirs again. Now here is the important part...You take the memory card with your profile on it and move it to their 360 to buy the new maps first and then you move your memory card back to yours and re-download the maps on your 360. This way they will be able to use the maps without your profile being signed into live on their profile and you only have to buy the map packs once. The downside is if you can't connect to xbox live then you can't use the maps.

Another alternative is to make a silver account on their 360 and you use that to buy and download the maps. The downside to that is that you have to buy the maps twice.

Holy Jesusing crap! Stop reviving this goddam thread!

The thread is two weeks old. It was a DOUBLE POST to begin with. The question was already answered in the other guys thread that said the EXACT SAME THING. Read the goddamn posts before replying people!

Straybeat replied because he wasn't paying attention to what he was reading. RTRic replying is just dumb though.

Yeah cuz being helpful is dumb. I saw it was a new post. I just gave helpful advice and considering how often this question is asked here I don't think it is a bad thing to have that info out there. There certainly is no call for you to act like a J-hole.
