I just bought a SAMSUNG LN32B360.
I noticed that copying peoples numbers isn't calibrating and is probably the wrong way to go. I also searched a bit and found out about downloading a calibrating program, uploading it to a usb and possibly connecting it to my xbox360 and trying to do it from there?
I really want to enjoy the full potential of this tv. I worked hard for my money and would really appreciate it if someone could help me.
Thanks in advance.
Here's the big overview.

Unless you want to spend some coin on a meter, all you can really do is calibrate brightness, contrast, color and tint.
I know that movie/cinema mode on the samsungs is a decent place to start.
From there you'll at least need a DVD that has some calibration patterns on it.
Brightness is best set with a good pluge pattern.
A good white pattern will have some bars that show where it clips and when it starts to discolor.
Your samsung probably has a blue only mode.
in blue mode you can eyeball color and tint with a good color and tint pattern (better than with filters).
any movie that has a THX optimizer mode will give you a good start, but sometimes the patterns on the discs are known to be off (on a per title basis). Your best bet is to get something like the getgray disc or Digital Video Essentials.

Amazon for a disc.
If you want to go the meter route, I can't recomend CalMAN enough, www.spectracal.com, their package with a display 2LT or their custom spyder3 would be great.
Start with a disc though and work your way up.

He's got a samsung, so it's probably got a blue only mode.
He might just need the disc.

Is there anywhere I can download a software and burn it? If that's something I can accomplish, can I just pop it into my xbox360?

You can with the AVS HD 709- MP4 videos. Either burn em' to dvd, or load them onto a usb thumb/ hard drive using a file system the xbox 360 can recognize (fat32 formatted).

The 360 series doesn't have a blue-only mode.
Use the Movie picture preset mode (very important) and make sure Color Space is set to Auto. Utilize a test disc, such as Digital Video Essentials, to help you set the 5 main user controls. (Contrast, Brightness, Color, Tint and Sharpness) The blue glasses that are included with the disc will get you in the ballpark for the proper color and tint settings.
This will give you the best performance short of having a meter and software, or better yet, hiring a professional.
Good Luck!
