Hi... just upgraded to the Elite, I was wondering what is a fair private party selling price for an used Xbox360 (not refurb) that doesn't have HDMI, 20GB drive and 1 controller?

Go to ebay or craigslist in your area and see what the going rate is. Figure 5-10% off (at least) from what is being asked online.

Given that there is just about no warranty left on the box, at best, I'd say $125 would be the most to ask and be reasonably fair to your buying party.

That system is garbage, quite frankly, and it is likely going to break pretty fast. No warranty, no HDMI, and a loud, hot early model = not much. I would say no more than $90-$110.

I see used Xbox 360's as low as $125 on craigslist. There are many that are more expensive, but unless they come bundled with games and extras, they are just overpriced. Especially considering how fragile the Xbox 360 has been. To be honest, I wouldn't buy a used one at all. No telling what's going to happen and you have no warranty to back the unit up.

well it is an easy fix for red ring. The heat sink gets undone to the cpu, just use new thermal paste and should be good.

There had been red ring but MS fixed it.. I think they replaced the board or reflowed it
Red ring doesn't really scare me.. $50 to reflow on ebay or $100 to fix from MS.

The system works fine. I wasn't thinking of asking crazy prices. Maybe I'd just keep it to play netflix in front of the treadmill or something
