Maybe the best thread title would be "Tversity or Playon?"

What is the consensus on these two programs? I just got a 2nd 360 for the living room and want to use it primarily for streaming online TV content....filling in the DVR gaps if I miss an episode of a program I'm following.

Most content would come from Hulu, but having CBS/ABC etc access is good too....I believe both programs offer this.

Any big advantages for either one? Cost is not my concern, I just want something that gives me the most content possible.

2nd question....any good universal remotes out there (besides the logitech xbox model) that will control the 360? I'm not against the logitech, but I'm not sold on the layout and wondered if there were any other good universals out there that would allow menu navigation at the very least.

I can't answer your first question, but any Logitech programmable remote will control the 360. The Harmony One is by far the best, IMO.

i've tried tversity, but something is horribly wrong on my pc. i cant add ANY new files! tried for about 2 hours last nite. also had tried it about last year for even longer. have no idea whats wrong with it.
i'll have to try playon.

I'd second getting a Logitech Harmony Universal. I got a used one (Model 688 I think) for about $60 on eBay 3 years ago and it's still working well. It chews through batteries pretty fast thought with its LCD screen, and it doesn't have all the fancy features of the newer ones but it's also not $300. It's fully programmable, which is nice when I'm streaming music on the Xbox I can control it with the remote, even while playing games. I have about 5 devices programmed in it.

I tried out Playon the other night running in a VM on my iMac and it worked great for streaming a couple of episodes of Fringe from Hulu.

Yeah, I've tried them both and Playon seems to be the better choice, but you don't get full functionality with the trial of Tversity. Wondered if anyone who has used full versions of both had any opinions.

Will probably just buy a Playon license and use the free version of Tversity....hopefully that'll cover all the bases.
