Apple is making digital movies more equal to films on DVD, announcing today at its fall keynote event in San Francisco that Twilight, Batman Begins, WALL-E and other select movies will include bonus features.

ITunes Extras, part of the iTunes 9 update, will include standard DVD bonuses—documentaries, deleted scenes, interviews and interactive galleries—at no additional cost to consumers. Those initial films that will include bonuses had not yet been updated on the redesigned iTunes site Wednesday morning to reflect the additions.

The redesigned iTunes store makes it easier to find videos, listing other films with the same actors and by the same director. It also adds the Genius recommendation system to movies and TV shows, suggesting shows based on other purchases.

ITunes 9 has a new “Home Sharing” feature that allows users to transfer movies, TV shows and music between up to five authorized computers in a home.

That and iTunes Extras were the only movie and TV news from the event. There was no Apple TV update or Blu-ray support news, two things that had been rumored in the weeks leading up to the event.
