AT&T is the latest company to get into the online video business, launching today AT&T Entertainment, a site that streams ad-supported TV shows and movies to computers, similar to Hulu.
AT&T has content from major TV networks ABC, NBC and CBS and cable networks including The CW, Bravo, CNBC, E! and others, some through a distribution deal with Hulu.
AT&T said the site is part of the company’s strategy to make content available to consumers across three screens—the TV, the PC and the mobile phone—and promised that the site would offer content to consumers in new ways as it grows.
