Hi - hope this is in the right forum.

My 35" Sony Trinitron KV-35S26 tube tv is in need of an aspect ratio adjustment...long story as to why. No, I did not futz with anything.

I haver been told that the only adjustment is with the yoke, and seeing as tho it is virtually "part of the tube itself", it is not worth fixing, and/or not possible. Now I know that with Sony broadcast monitors, there are in fact adjustments for this - I was wondering if anyone knows anyway of doing this with a consumer tv? There is nothing in the standard menu, so I was thinking that a) there is a sub-manu that can be accessed somehow, or b) there really is an adjustment with a trim pot, or similiar.

Any ideas would be appreciated - thanks in advance.

Yes, there are vertical height adjustments in the service menu. This model is new enough that it should have a service menu instead of trim pots, although it might use a combination of the two.
Don't do this unless you have more documentation, but the entrance code is, with the TV off, press display, 5, vol up, and power on the remote in sequence. Look for VGHT or ASPT adjustments (going by memory here). Large adjustments will throw off other aspects of geometry, so you will have to make other adjustments like VPIN and PIN after you get the aspect ratio right.
