Hi I just purchased a Canon HF11 and was looking for the right accessories to buy. I'm looking for quality brand names from trustable websites with good pricing, because there are alot of cheap accessories out their and I don't know the difference between them & I don't want to buy anything that could harm or not protect the camcorder.

I know I need a UV filter & polarizing filter and heard B + W was a quality brand but which ones should I go with?

What is a nice protective case that's small but can hold the camcorder and all accessories SD cards, mic, battery, charger etc?

I know I need a battery & wall charger and heard that Canon is the only way to go so where can I buy a BP-827 & CG-800 with good pricing?

I also heard I need a mic and the Canon DM-100 is pretty expensive, is there a quality Mic for a reasonable price that you suggest?

Any other accessories you suggest that I missed would be great thanks.

This was covered in a thread one to two months ago, so perhaps that's why you haven't seen the responses repeated.

I use the Lowe Pro Edit 120 bag, small, but plenty of space for chargers and extra's. Just lacking a bit of room for two cameras and their accessories, could fit both camera's camera's and their chargers, but this meant I had to carry one powercord in my carry-on bag, as it would no longer fit in the camera bag. So, for one camera it has plenty of space.

B+W filters are great, but pricy, if you only use the Pol. filter occasionally, a Marumi, Hama, or similar cheaper filter will do fine. The B+W filters in this small size do not have B+W additional resistive coatings anyway.

You don't need a wall charger, the original Canon batteries charge in Camera just fine, the expensive wall charger just cuts back charging time a bit. For the price of the charger you could get an extra battery.

For indoor shooting the Wide Angle convertor is highly recommended, unfortunately the original Canon one is nearly 200 bucks/euro/, so I skimped on that one.

Microfiber cloths, just get the ones for cleaning, as you can get a handfull of those for the price of one microfiber cloth at the camera store/website. When they require cleaning just wash 'em and start using the washed ones for household cleaning, and move on to a new fresh one for your camera.

This was the thread I was thinking of http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1143032. There are other thread usually from people planning a trip, and wondering what to bring, like memory cards, image tanks, batteries. And the HF-11s big and long owner thread.
