I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong place, but it looked like there was some DSLR discussion here.

I have a Canon XSI and would like to update my firmware. My problem is that I don't know what the firmware is on my camera. Canon's site shows images of a menu option that provides the firmware version on the 3rd yellow menu tab, but I only have 2 such tabs. Any suggestions on how I can get the firmware version of my XSI?

Second, what is the best way to update XSI firmware? It sounds like you have to update each firmware update individually, and you can't just skip to the most recent version. Where do you get all of the previous versions?

Third, what is the best way to update your firmware? Online it shows you loading the firmware onto the SD card, and installing it from there. Is that required, or can you connect your camera directly to your computer to update the firmware?
