Its not the who, why, where, what, when.

Its the game you sit down with when your face is beat and when you stand up after a session calm and relaxed. Of course it doesn't always work that way.

And on the flip side what games put you there.

For me when I'm mad I love to sit down with Duke Nukem 3d XBLA and shoot some tigers, or waste some brutes in halo, or finaly get in a lot of car crash's in burn out. All with a custom soundtrack playing:D

As for game that really irk me:rolleyes:
COD MW
when lag sets in.
I unload a clip on a guy running forward and then I die. The replay/death cam shows me firing at air as he runs up behind me and knifes me. Or to many death to claymore before I figure out the perk to combat that
Doesn't take many deaths like that and I'm vivid.

I used to play Burnout while watching Bengals games. It made watching those games much more tolerable as I slammed my competators into the walls and other cars.

Prototype...pretty amazing set of weapons/skills to unleash serious carnage.

To me playing anything with friends tends to take out anger. Playing on-line with random people just makes me more angry (from lag issues, to glitches, to exploits, etc). GoW with friends is the most fun and relaxing way to take out anger.

+100 for me... When I am playing with friends it doesn't really matter what it is I feel relaxed and really enjoy it.. otherwise online play usually frustrates me too much to even bother.

Trials HD (some hard & all extreme tracks), are enough to make even the calmest of us develop a twitch ;).

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis for the first Xbox. lol I still pop this game into the X360. Tending to my Dinos and park patrons relaxes me... As does dropping the walls and watching them eat the patrons before I stop playing.

Great game.

fight night round 3, because theres nothing like a good old beating!! Beating up someones face (Mr Toney preferably) to a pulp!! I prefer this game to fight night round 4 for some reason.

That skull drill/phantasm ball thingy in Turok, way back, was pretty cool.

Hey, I used that game this weekend....very theraputic.

I am actually having more "fun" with Prototype then I did with Batman. Though technically speaking Batman is the superior game (in graphics and sound and such).

I find Nazi Zombies on COD:WAW very relaxing. It's a very methodical path you go to unlock the areas etc. I find it relaxing after a day of chaos to play through something with a bit of order. That, or just about any XBLA game is good for de-stressing (game-related or otherwise).

team fortress 2. if i find a game with people talking and coordinating i can play for hours. on the other hand, its 1 in 10 you find a good match, so that pisses me off bad and i usually break for a cigarette. same deal with L4D, i just started playing again. and playing campaign on easy where you can just own everything, very relaxing. ha, i just realized im turning into a valve junkie, and i dont even own a PC. good times.

if anyone is down for some TF2 or L4D my GT is Hellz Lips. I usually play at night.

I'm surpised no one has mentioned Crackdown, nothing like kicking someone and having them fly through the air or throwing cars on to people :D

Its not that I hate Zombies, I just love killing them.

I think most gaming for me includes an amount of frustration. But thinking back I use to find Rollercoaster Tycoon relaxing and when I got laid off, the day after Christmas, last year I found playing Kingdom of Keflings very soothing.

I also have to give a qualified 2nd to Prototype. Tearing through crowded streets as a super powered mutant is incredibly satisfying. But some of the missions and those damn time challenges can be frustrating.

I'll second l4d and BF 1943. I don't know why killing zombies is so relaxing to me. And playing sniper (which I hate in every other game) in BF is almost as good. Find a nice shady spot, squat down and work on your long distance leading shots. Ahhhhh.

Right now, it would be Wii Sports Resort swordfighting :D Nothing beats slashing away for a few mins at the computer.

Now for recent games that have made me rage.....Mirror's Edge...damn time trials.
