I just picked up True Romance Bluray copy today.
I have to say, being a fan of the film...the reviews I've read on it lead me to beleive it would not be impressive...unfortunatley when comparing it to our high expectations, I've seen poorer bluray transfers that left me dissapointed from the start> This transfer happens to be the one I liked...with crisp consistent clarity, and colors that where static...character close-ups where just phenomenal in relation to the best SD copy available as well, I don't see it getting much better overall, although distant scenes did come out as fuzzy, this definatly didn't falter the movie as there is very little of it anyways,where as the tension of the film is optically consistent, I never noticed any crushed blacks in dark scenes which again suprised me since I've noticed tons of that artifact phenomenom on other bluray titles.
Very watchable copy the first time.
