I have recently acquired a Pioneer dv-440 and i have it connected to my receiver trough optical sound. the sound works but i try to turn on dts on a movie that is dts enabled and i play the movie i hear no sound and the dvd player shows a message saying DTS output is off. i did a little research on the manual i found on the internet and i need to access the setup menu to turn on dts out. but i need the origional remote that has a button called setup. or atleast a remote that has the button setup. the remote im using for this dvd player is the sony rm-v310a universal remote. it does not have a button that says setup. so now i turn to avs forums because it seems no one else has had my problem. please i really need your guys help. and if you could also help out with this the sony remote i have wont work with my olevia 232v tv even though the manual for the remote has codes for olevia tvs if you can help me with that too i would be so grateful. thank you for your time. i also have a onkyo tx-ds676 recevier only collecting sound and some of my svideo sources. the dvd player is connected via component.

ok so are those the codes for my remote? i thaught they were four digit codes.

well i tried all of the codes and no luck :( is there like a combination of keys i can press at once or do i have to just get a new remote. which i do not have any money for. well most of the codes work for the player but im just saying no luck cuz im having no luck getting into the setup menu :(

ok well i solved the dvd player issue so this thread is closed now.
