Hello,
Just joined the forums. Lots of great info. First, I must say I'm a newby at this stuff but right now I am quite frustrated.
Bought a Sony xr500 - love the camera. Use it exclusively for indoor sports (volleyball) games on a tripod. Terrific image when played back on 1080p monitor/tv. I also bought the Sony MC-5 DVD burner. But when I burn in AVCHD or HD the disc will not work on a Samsung 4600 Blu-ray player. After numerous calls to both Sony and Samsung tech support, still no luck. I did change the setting on the camera to x.v.color "on" but did not help.
My plan is/was to burn the games to DVD then erase the hard drive on the camera. The only way (so far) is to download everything on the camera to the PC, then create the disc with Sony PMB. (very slow)
My question: Should I return the MC-5 burner and just download each game and burn them on the PC (maybe using different software)?? Or are there some simply setting changes that will allow the Samsung to read the DVDs?
Thanks much - any help is appreciated!!
