Hi, can anyone tell me the actual viewing size of a Panny G10 46-inch plasma and 50-inch plasma in both 16:9 & 4:3?

Thanks a lot.

Hi, thanks for the link. I'm confused by it, though; it gives width & height for each model but also states: "as a 16:9 display" and gives a different number. Can you clarify?

Maybe this one will be easier:

given a fixed diameter (say 50inch) the surface of your screen differs when the ratios of width and height change.

it boils down to using pythagoras:

diameter^2 = height^2 + width^2

and surface = height*width

too sleepy to make a numerical example.

Hope this helps.

Here's the one I used when figuring things out. Sorry to say that I don't remember where it came from so I can't really give credit.
