Oh did I say downloaded, I meant playing my 1080p movie in my player on my pc upstairs and streaming it to my xbox downstairs or something.

Take a look at "Divx Tech Preview" for Windows 7 which allows you to stream MKV to all your extenders (don't know if your talking normal computer or a media center enabled on)

I don't understand the question. What format is the source movie in, and where does it physically reside when you're trying to play it? The requirements and Xbox 360 bitrate/codec support are not always the same for a file stored locally as they would be for one stored remotely, and many people have real-time transcoding being done at the PC side during streaming which further influences this.

To answer your question, no it won't. You are connecting by component and your Harman Kardon only does 1080p through HDMI.
