recently bought a 54" g10 model.....picture looks amazing but seems like there are some issues...
while changing picture mode from THX to standard I can see a bright flash on my screen....
while displaying white screen (1080p image thru SD) there are some light pink shades near bottom right and left corners....and also while running white bar scroll, I could see some light cloudy spots..seems like the coating is non-uniform on the display....or dead pixel?.not sure.....but while watching movie picture looks amazing though....tv has about 10 hrs on it.
can anyone tell me if these are known issues with g10 model or something wrong with my g10 panel..

I'm becoming more convinced that the pink you see is due to the coating and not the pixels. When contrast is high enough, that enables the image to plow right through any defects in the coating while softer white colors get more shielded by the AR coating. If you really look closely (don't advise this), you will be able to see the effect on some colors on all content. IMO

i think the flashing is normal. they don't expect you to change picture modes like you do channels. I believe the tv is just resetting itself when it changes over.

same thing happens on my g15 when i change between any picture modes. Although the flashing i'm seeing is so brief that it's not that noticeable.

The flash thing should be normal. I had a 46s1 and then i upgraded to th 46g10. Both tvs have the 'streaks' non-uniform coatings on them. Looks like that's what the coatings look like this year, but i have no problem at all while the tv is on, i only notice the 'streaks' when i clean my screen.
