When I try to watch a 4:3 dvd I get one vertical green line on the left hand side border of the display box. Why?

If I change the display to letterbox so that it stretches the image horizontally and fills the whole screen, then the green line is gone.

The green line is only visible when trying to play a 4:3 dvd.

I am playing the dvd in an xbox 360.

anybody? should i be concerened here?

I am playing the dvd in an xbox 360.Green lines are always caused by the source, not the TV. If the green line is where the 4:3 image meets the black sidebar, then i don't think it's the TV introducing the green line and it's most likely the xbox if it happens on all your 4:3 DVDs. Do you have or can you borrow a regular DVD player and see if the same DVDs have the green line?
