oops, my bad. previously posted thread about dish 622 dvr when i actually have 2 612 dvrs.

same problems with playing back recorded material. corruption of recordings on playback.

searched threads and found post of similar problems by other owners some of whom have gone through multiple 612 replacements

problems is i see no other viable dvr for my needs. we have 2 hd sets and love having a dvr that can record 2 shows simultaneouly
on each hd set. but that doesn't really work if the recordings are corrupted.

i dont' see dish having any other model dvrs that do this. don't want a 722 as that occupies 2 sets and won't work for our family
which competes for hd viewing.

any suggestions?

Are you certain that you don't have some sort of satellite signal issue?

are all 612 dvrs crap or just mine?

I am not sure about the 612 as I don't have one. I have a 622 and a 722, and I run them in single mode, each on 1 HDTV. I highly recommend the 722. Perhaps Dish will let you swap your 612s for 722s.
