Remember sitting with him at CES last year and enjoying his demo's.

I found it odd Jim was not at CEDIA. He was great guy and always the professional.

This is sad news! I saw him a few years ago when he was introducing his CS3.7s at my local dealer. He seemed pretty healthy and upbeat at the time...

Jim died yesterday from complications of lung cancer. Jim had been fighting lung cancer for quite sometime but unexpectedly took a turn for the worse yesterday. That`s about all the info I have right now. RIP my friend.

1st order crossover design, sloped baffles, phase coherent deisgns, some of the most beautiful wood and cabinet choices in the industry, an unbelievable commitment to service the speakers in the field are just some of Mr. Thiel's contributions to the audio industry. I was deeply saddened to read of his passing. Prayer's to family, friends, and all at thiel audio. A truly classy company that has followed it's namesake.

RIP

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling that thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." John Stuart Mill

Amen !!!

The list of folks I have admired, met, or known that fell to lung cancer is getting a lot longer than I am comfortable with. It is a horrible way to go. Gentlemen all. Rest in peace.
