OK, so Im upgrading my software and meter, and have a couple of questions

1. the instructions say to remove CP5000 before installing CP5000a. It sounds like Im going to lose all of my customers and their info. does anyone know of a way to save everything?

2. am I going to lose all of my .lmr files that I use for color management?

Sencores premium prices for software and hardware are (they claim), justified by their extensive hardware and software support. If Sencore cannot answer this question for you, they are seriously busted.

AFAIK you can have both on the same machine. I think I had all three, 5000, 5000a and 6000 all installed on the same machine, just stuck them in distinct folders on install. I second the suggestion to ask sencore...

Chris, I tried the same thing, and when I initialized the CP5000a software, it wouldnt recognize the CPV (my new meter), but, the CPV would work with the CP5000 software. weird. Ill call them on Monday
