Wondering what level of script/command-line control any of the many music players (amarok, songbird, rhythmbox, etc) offer?
I imagine I could pass in the URL to an internet radio station over the command line, but would any of them offer a way for me to specify a DAAP server addr and then select the playlist from that DAAP server? (ie. an iTunes library being served up by Firefly Server) .. and do things like enable random/shuffle mode, etc ?
I suspect I could do these types of things via Applescript under OS X (as an example), but not sure if any such equivalent exists on the linux side? (I'm running Jaunty currently).
thanks for any ideas, particularly related to the DAAP client control. Maybe I'd not be able to do better than connecting to a DAAP server that only offers the 1 playlist I want.. but even that I'm not sure how to do.
