We have added a Ratings & Reviews section to our Berkline Home Theater site. We would welcome comments from AVS Forum users that have purchased Berkline home theater seats. We are postings all reviews - good or bad. Obviously we'll edit out or omit any inapproriate language or personal remarks. Otherwise, your opinions are welcome! The ratings menu is on the top left of each product page. Many of you have purchased our import styles. Only the domestic versions are shown on the Berkline site. Feel free to post a review under the appropriate domestic version that corresponds to the import style. Thanks for reading.

I absolutely love mine (7), had them 2 years now. You can see them in my video in my signature.

I will second the positive reviews for Berklines. I have 5 and love them. They complete my theater.

I am not very satisfied with mine, within a year the covering started to get brittle and crack, one I have had to totally recover now the other is doing the same thing, it looks like the material was not treated correctly before being used. I could not locate the ratings and review site mentioned, so thats why I am posting here.

abierce,

That is very interesting. Can you tell us what cover your chairs are in? What environment were these chairs used in?

They were black vinyl and not leather. I ordeded them from Raymour and Flannigan. Don't get me wrong I love the chairs, but my choice for the black vinyl was a poor one, My friend got the micro-fibre and to my surprise they are holding up much better. I don't remember the model and I don't think they are available any longer, I inquired a couple of years ago about getting precut replacement fabric but never followed up. Thanks for your interest.

It started on the arms first then the seat cushions, I still have one that I have not recovered I will see if I can attach a photo so you can look at it.

Art,

While I am sorry to hear about your problem, I am not surprised. As usually you get what you pay for... Vinyl is not a durable material, and I am not even mentioning that it does not breath...

I can agree about vinyl but still we are talking $1000.00 per seat for a brand name that should at least be a good quality of material.
