I have TWC in nyc. Last night when I was flipping through channels, when I turned to HBO comedy hd, the 8300hdc rebooted. It showed "fr.la" for a few secs and then started this weird countdown from r800(in hex). The whole reboot takes about 5 mins. Everything seemed to be back to normal, but when I turned to hbo comedy hd it happened again. I have tested this several times since then, and every time I turn to HBO comedy HD(ch 655), it would reboot and start this countdown thing. I've tried alot of different channels, only hbo comedy hd gives me this problem, not hbo comedy, or any other hd channel.
Anyone know what could be the cause for this and how do I fix it. Thanks.

Are you using the remote that came with the STB?
Try using the up/down buttons on the STB. Again with the remote try getting to that channel a different way. Like using it's up/down buttons or the program guide.
My first guess is that somehow the box is getting a power-off command.

I've tried that too and it's still giving me the same result. I don't think it's the power-off command because it's never just turned off, instead it does this weird countdown thing. I've also tried to record a show off that channel, which worked perfectly fine.
