well I just popped in this disc today and watched most of it. But first, im the a part where you're supposed to use the color filter to adjust blue, red & green settings. So i adjusted the blue, then red, but the green was off. the 6 boxes it shows had different shades of green from the backround. What am I doing wrong? how would you adjust that?

You might not be doing anything wrong. The filters are notorious for getting you close but not being absolutely accurate. There are color isolation controls in the a3000's service menu, but that would not be recommended for most people. It's also possible to measure it with a meter.
Chances are, unless there's a colorspace problem with your source, your SXRD's color decoding is accurate at or near the default positions. I have found that to be the case after calibrating many of them.

Yes, that's what I would recommend.

yes no ????
Leave it at 709, eagles. The jist of it is, 709 represents the color space for HD; 601, for SD.
