Hey everyone just ordered a HG21 :). This is my really first venture into camcorders so your going to have to bear with me. First question is does the GH21 do 1080P? I have googled for this and have unfortunately not been able to find the answer. I know it does 1080 but they don't say if its 1080i or 1080P. Also will it do 720P?

Next questions i really with the AVCHD format? From what i understand so far, which could be incorrect, AVCHD is not really like a video file you download to computer but more of an interface. For example when you connect your computer to your camcorder you are essentially connection to a device you interface with rather than are downloading from. Kind of like a file system unless i'm incorrect. Ok i am familiar with digital cameras though and RAW formats. I always shoot in raw because it will allow me some leway in exposure controls and will let me do non-destructive edits to it (lightroom mostly) and i can create as many variations off the RAW file when i produce JPG files as i want. Anyways the reason i'm asking is i know you use video editing programs for example adobe premiere to produce video files (AVI,WMV, ect...) when you have your camcorder connected to your computer but is there anyway to download a RAW AVCHD format file to your computer for later video work you would like to do with it?

Any help would be appreciated.
